Sundowner is the perfect venue for any celebration. Whether you’re organising a private birthday party, social club gathering, corporate function, conference event, charity night or kids birthday party Sundowner is an ideal venue. Sundowner is a fully covered purpose built catamaran designed for parties, and unlike a yacht, we have a flat surface and no trip hazards. There is ample room to move and socialise, and high heels are welcome. Organising an event on Sundowner is easy and best of all, we can set it up for you and clean up when you’re gone.

Decorations & Styling

Private charters may organise decorations with some limitations. Decorations must be secure enough not to blow away, but must not damage the vessel. No crepe paper or confetti type decorations, due to the risk of staining the decks, and/or polluting our beautiful waterways. No balloons unless handled by one of our professional decorators. There are many possibilities that will suit Sundowner, such as balloon garlands, artificial flower walls, real flowers, fabric drapes, fairy lights, and more. We are happy to recommend the following Airlie Beach decorating companies: Or you can choose from other decorators in Airlie Beach. If they have not worked on Sundowner before, it is advisable that they come and see the boat before quoting you, to work out what is possible.

Please note

  • We do not have facilities on board for cooking or storing food in fridges. Chilled or hot food can be stored in thermal containers provided by caterer.
  • Menus provided are a guide only and were correct at time of publishing. Products and prices are subject to change at the caterer’s discretion.
  • If you bring your own food, please use containers with a lip (such as a box or a bowl) to avoid food sliding off when the boat moves. Flat grazing boards are not recommended.
  • We do not have plates, cutlery or napkins on board.

If I could recommend any sunset cruise it’ll be you guys!!
