Your Itinerary
Welcome Aboard
Check in at Coral Sea Marina, North Village, Meeting Point B. Our crew will issue snorkel suitsor wet suits and masks, goggles and fins. Once on board, stow your gear in the handy pockets along each side and strap in! Our crew will perform a quick safety briefing and then we are off!
Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef
After little more than an hour of high speed cruising, we arrive at Bait Reef and an iconic location called The Stepping Stones. We will lower the stairs into the water so guests can embark on their Great Barrier Reef snorkelling adventure straight away. The swim platform area offers ample room to move about and the stairs offer easy access into the water. Spot hundredfs of colourful fish, and countless different types of coral. Join our snorkel guide for a guided experience, or explore at your own pace. We will spend about an hour and a half at the reef.
Visit iconic Hill Inlet lookout
Only half an hour or so from the reef, we arrive at Tongue Bay and commence the bushwalk up to the famous Hill Inlet Lookouts. Bring your camera because this is a spectacular photo opportunity! Marvel at the swirling sands of Hill Inlet and gaze along the length of Whitehaven Beach. Head back down the lookout track, and back to the boat, so we can whisk you away at record speed to the southern end of the beach for some time to relax, or explore!
Experience world famous Whitehaven Beach
In less than 10 minutes, we will arrive at the southern end of Whitehaven Beach. Here you can swim, relax, play beach games, soak up some sun or go for a walk. There are two other lookouts at the southern end, for those wanting more amazing views, otherwise, relax and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!
Heading home
Strap in for a direct fast ride back to Airlie Beach. Viper offers courtesy transfers for guests staying at hotels within the Airlie Beach area (from Jubilee Pocket to Cannonvale).

A few notes...
This is a typical day on Viper, but may be suibject to changes duie to weather conditions and tides. Access to the outer Great Barrier Reef may be limited if the sea conditions are too rough. In the event access to the Great Barrier Reef snorkelling site is not possible, we will choose another beautiful island reef snorkelling site to visit and add in a visit to the Aboriginal caves in Nara Inlet.
