Welcome Aboard

Onboard Lady Enid you will be introduced to our crew who will show you where to stow your bags and shoes (it’s best to go barefoot on the boat). You will be given an introduction to Lady Enid’s features and a safety briefing on sailing out from Coral Sea Marina at Airlie Beach.

You are given a courtesy bottle of spring water which can be refilled through out the day as required. Lady Enid also makes sunscreen available if you do not have your own.

The Adventure Begins...

You can freely move around the vessel and take advantage of the cushioned seating. During the passage north to Hook Island through the Whitsunday Islands, Lady Enid crew will point out various points of interest and discuss the history, flora and fauna of the Whitsundays and the Ngaro people for those who are interested.

Morning tea is served

Once the sails are set and you are comfortable, Lady Enid’s crew will serve morning tea. Choose from a variety of teas, coffee or hot chocolate and a fresh selection traditional morning tea favourites from fresh scones, jam and dollop cream and chocolate brownies to delight a variety of tastebuds.

Arrive at Nara Inlet

Lady Enid will typically arrive at Nara Inlet by mid morning and moor in the calm anchorage, protected by the steep hills. Our crew will transfer guests by dinghy to the bottom of the stone steps, which take guests up to the rock art.

Explore the moderate-rough walk up along the natural, rocky track to the cultural site. There is a wealth of information to learn up here with our guides and the installations in place.

Take time to listen to the recordings, read through the interpretive signage, and learn about the indigenous inhabitants of the Whitsunday Islands, the Ngaro people.

We then make our way back down to the boat for lunch.

Lunch is served

We return from the caves for lunch onboard.

  • Salads – Zesty brown rice and quinoa, roast pumpkin and feta salad, contemporary Asian slaw, and a green salad
  • Meats – Charcuterie selection of spiced chicken breast, leg ham off the bone, cured meat, along with salmon and prawns.
  • Selection of condiments and fresh bread
  • Drinks are available from our licensed bar onboard.

Time for snorkelling

On completion of lunch we sail to our Hook Island snorkeling site.

The coral gardens just off the island are teeming with fish and coral, and are well known as some of the best snorkeling in the Whitsundays.

Snorkeling is optional though, and guests not taking part in snorkeling can sit and enjoy a cool beer or glass of wine from the bar. We spend approximately 45 minutes at this snorkeling site where you can explore the diversity of corals, fish and all manner of colourful marine life that call the Whitsundays home.

All snorkeling equipment is provided including wetsuits if required.

We have a few favourite spots around Hook Island, and will choose the best one on the day.

Fruit Platter

Seasonal fruits such as watermelon, rockmelon,  pineapple, grapes and strawberries are served after snorkeling.

Homeward Bound

After snorkeling we set sail for home at Airlie Beach. Antipasto with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine will be served en-route to Airlie Beach.

Antipasto

  • Cold meats
  • Mature cheddar, camembert
  • Bowen sun-dried tomatoes, char-grilled aubergine and mixed olives
  • Complimentary glass of sparkling

Lady Enid returns home to Coral Sea Marina at approximately 4.00pm. Our courtesy bus then returns you to your Airlie Beach accommodation.

A few notes...

This is a typical day on Lady Enid and may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and tides. The snorkeling site will take into consideration weather conditions, tides and visibility to ensure maximum enjoyment. Our skipper will choose favourable locations to visit to ensure our guests the most comfortable and enjoyable day possible. We may visit Nara Inlet before or after snorkeling, depending on the tide on the day.

A certain level of mobility is required to get off and back onto the yacht, and enjoy the bushwalk in Nara Inlet on Hook Island. The track is steep and rocky.

Pick up times are from around 7.00am. Please check your booking confirmation emails for your exact pick up location and time.

What Our Guests Say

It’s the attention to detail which makes this trip stand out. Service was excellent as was the presentation of the boat, food and drinks. From the morning scones and fruit platter before lunch or seafood buffet followed by afternoon chocolate brownie and antipasto served on the sail back home everything was high quality and beautifully presented. Great views from the island and a cooling swim before lunch and the reef snorkeling after made the day relaxing but varied. Highly recommend this experience!
